So now i took apart my ps4 and checked the network port for cracked solder joints.
Ps4 lan cable port broken.
It may not be ps4 specific or widespread but some users have reported issues stemming from a damaged hdmi port shipping on their ps4 units.
Either way i recently opened up my ps4 which was a lot easier than i expected.
The cable works on other devices but it is not recognized by my ps4.
I was having issues with my wifi connection so i switched to a lan cable.
Is part of the cable still stuck in the port.
The lan port is a method of connecting the ps4 to the internet via a wire known as an e.
Why does my ps4 say lan cable not connected.
Or is it just not working when you plug in another cable.
So now i have cleanly removed the port.
My ps4 network port is failing.
I have checked my cables with a network cable tester and i have replaced the cables just because i don t want it to be a system issue.
The only way you can replace the ethernet port yourself would require soldering so if you have no experience in this you could take it to a repair shop to get this.
Or anything strange looking.
My ps4 says to connect a lan cable when i am setting up network settings but it is plugged into both the ps4 and router.
